Are you looking for Keyworker accommodation in Basingstoke?

07 July 2020

Are you a single keyworker looking for a living space and a home in Hampshire?

Our Basingstoke accommodation is perfect for nurses and other keyworkers who need to move to the area for their careers.

The Building

Our Basingstoke residence has 316 bed spaces, meaning there are lots of opportunities to meet and socialise with like-minded people who carry out similar work to you.

However, our property offers single rooms with an en-suite bathroom and a small number of self-contained flats.

The accommodation was built in 2008 and is made from renewable materials using the latest building techniques. This means the building is not only designed with comfort and convenience in mind, but also with a reduction in unnecessary energy use too. It’s framed with timber, fully insulated and has double glazing on the windows too. All internal walls in the accommodation are plasterboard and the installed passive ventilation provides a more natural air source into the building.

The Room

All our rooms at the Basingstoke accommodation are fully furnished with Wi-Fi included, so you do not have to lug all your white goods and wooden furniture with you every time you get a new placement or job.

The Location

Basingstoke is a beautiful city which offers a lot to those looking for culture, adventure and a historical location to move to. Our accommodation is only a fifteen-minute walk away from the town centre, which is full of shops, restaurants, bars and cafes. There are two large shopping centres – The Malls and Festival Place where you can get your fix of food, fine dining and clothes shopping!

Basingstoke is also home to The Anvil, which is one of Hampshire’s biggest entertainment venues, showing theatre, opera, classical music and ballet. For those not seeking cultural activities, The Anvil also offers pop concerts and comedy shows for individuals looking for a little light-hearted relief after a stressful week at work.

For those looking for more exercise, than art activities, Basingstoke has a wide range of gyms, dance studios and leisure centres for workers to relax and spend their days off dancing, swimming or running. There’s also the Basingstoke Golf Club, with an 18-hole, par 70 private course in a picturesque setting with a lovely atmosphere. There’s also a trampoline park for those want to add a little more bounce to their free time on evenings and weekends.

More leisurely pursuits include Eastrop Park, which has a boating lake, a dipping platform, a tree trail and a trim trail, making it the perfect spot for a January, winter walk.

Other things to do in Basingstoke include the Milestones Museum, The Vyne, Basing House and the park Farm Equestrian Centre.

Our Basingstoke accommodation is also only a two-minute walk away from Basingstoke Hospital campus, meaning medical students and staff at the NHS Trust will find the location of our residence extremely useful.

Eligibility

Our accommodation is available to a wide range of key workers. However, priority will be given to staff working for North Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
